A Day in the Life
Introduction
You are invited to take part in an adventure this week. An international adventure.
Your mission—if you choose to accept it—is to spend "A Day in the Life" in some of the areas in the world that we work. The common folk in Haiti, Bangladesh, India, Sierra Leone, and Sudan all live very different lives than us, and they face many hardships that we have would have difficulty even imagining.
Read one of the country descriptions each day and spend some time with God over the various prayer requests. Now here’s where it gets fun – follow the daily suggestions to spend "A Day in the Life" of the people in that country. This will begin to help us understand what life is like in each country. Read through the cards in advance since some of the days’ activities will require a little preparation.
You may find some of our suggestions a little uncomfortable. Good! No one is keeping score, but if you and your family engage in these activities, it’s likely God will use them to build greater awareness and sensitivity in your hearts. You will also make some great memories with your kids!
Good luck and remember, God has richly blessed us and He desires for us to have His heart when it comes to lost souls and hurting people.
Let us know how it goes, we will be anxious to hear all
about your adventure! worldrelief@wr.org or 1-800-535-5433
